I got excited as the prospect of finding a photo of dad, however; 50. is not W/O Tapua ‘Tap’ Heperi, RNZAF NZ426199 – Wireless Operator. Clement crew

      Hi Naomi
Sorry for your disappointment – do you have any thoughts as to where he might be in the picture? This is the ‘Flight’ that Tap was in and he stayed with the Squadron till June, so he should be there somewhere…….

Hi Naomi, is he number 64? I think Tap is also in the full-Squadron photo (top of this page), second-to-left in the top-centre group sitting on top of the cockpit of the Lancaster with the rest of the Clement crew. Regards, Chris

    Hi Simon,
I am sorry but No.65 ad No.67 identifications refer to the ‘A’ Flight and not ‘C’ Flight.

    Regards

    Kevin Smith.

My dad (91 and still going strong) Ian Foster is number 30 in this photo, with the moustache and wearing the officer’s cap. The other caps (the folding ones) were called forage caps and could be worn by officers and non-officers alike.

My dad is going to come and look at these pics soon and see if he can put names to faces that haven’t been listed yet. Cheers. Sue
